This past weekend I had the pleasure of joining in on my first “Instagram Meetup.” I’ve been actively posting my work on instagram for a little over a year now and I feel that I’m one of the newer faces to the scene. Though I’ve been shooting for about 4+ years, I never attempted to collab with other local photogs because I’m such a shut-in.

It is INSANE how many talented photographers are in the greater Milwaukee area. #MKEMEETUP6 allowed me to meet a few faces that I follow on the ‘gram and I’m thankful that I finally found time to join in on the fun.

Even though I felt painfully awkward at the start of the meetup because I only knew one person there, I had left with a handful of new friends and connections by the end of the day.
